Beautiful work Aiko. I love the NYE posters. Best of luck with that.
I can't come down, it's plain to see.

yeah - made that one with photoshop. before i had a computer we used to cut out pictures in magazines and glue them together to make weird looking pictures. we would xerox our collage and then draw on the xerox until we had a finished piece, that was 25 years ago. Now i do the same thing on the computer but no scissors and no glue and no paper mess, but much more time consuming.

Just having a little fun with the camera today. Some really neat looking clouds.

Here's two poems i wrote for my creative writing class, while i'd call myself a writer i would not call myself a poet but here they are..the second title should look familiar

Terminal 9

I look at the blank faces as they stare into the empty distance,
A loud, collective silence permeates the waiting area,
Phones buzz and last-minute “I love you’s” said.

Passengers board one by one,
Slowly,
Slightly oversized carry-ons stuff the overhead bins,
A curtain divides the 1% from the rest,
Where’s my seat?

“Turn off all electronic devises,” crackles out of the microphone
Held by the mindless stewardess,
Autopilot,
Frantically typing for that one, last
“I love y…

and the second which i've gone back and forth on about 100 times since i wrote the original

Splintered Sunlight

Light splinters through a broken windowpane,
Meeting an unwelcoming half-opened eye,
At the earliest crows of the rooster.

He lies heavy in his worn-out mattress,
Morning after morning,
Half awake, half asleep, and barely alive.
People joining hand in hand while the music plays the band
